APERC has proposed draft APERC (Terms and Conditions for Tariff determination from Renewable Energy Sources) Regulations, 2025 and has invited comments by July 07, 2025. In this regard, we have some comments on the aspect of inclusion of solar, wind, hybrid RE and storage (PSP and BESS) projects under the ambit of this regulation, which are attached. The submission focuses on following key aspects:
- Reconsider GoAP policy direction to APERC to determine tariff of some RE sources under section 62
- Need to continue procurement of RE power through competitive bidding process
