KERC has issued the draft Connectivity and General Network Access to the Intra-State Transmission and Distribution System Regulations, 2026, and has invited comments and suggestions from stakeholders by 10th July 2026. This proactive step is expected to facilitate the development of a transparent, streamlined, and robust framework for granting connectivity and network access, while promoting greater regulatory certainty and ease of implementation for all stakeholders.

- Evolving banking framework with time
- Approval of augmentation
- Priority in Curtailment
- Need to bring in further transparency and accountability
- Effective implementation of the regulation
- Provision for Revocation of Connectivity in Case of Non-Compliance with CEA Technical Standards
- Need to clarify definition for installed capacity
- Need to align transmission pricing and OA timelines with GNA framework
