The Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) has published draft Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Licensees’ Standards of Performance) Third Amendment Regulation, 2021 for public comments.

Prayas (Energy Group) submitted comments and suggestions towards ensuring accountability of Distribution Companies and enhancing consumer interests. In these draft regulations, a positive measure, automatic compensation, for certain parameters, has been introduced. Along with such a step, our submission highlights a few more measures which could be undertaken, to ensure quality service and supply.
