CERC had published draft amendments to the tariff regulations detailing the framework for computation of input price of coal and lignite supplied from integrated mines to determine the energy charge component of tariff, and invited comments on it. Prayas made a short submission mainly suggesting the need for added stringency and clarity in the computation of input price. In particular, the submission emphasised the point that the input price should not exceed the CIL notified price for the same grade of coal.
