On the invitation of the World Bank, this presentation was made at a meeting organised by the World Bank to initiate an internal review of the Power Sector reforms in India. The presentation summarises Prayas’ critique of the reforms promoted by the World Bank in the Indian Power sector and presents an outline of the desired process of arriving at decisions regarding the reform model.
