Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Ltd (MSPGCL) and Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) submitted its Petition for Final True up for the FY 2009 – 10, Provisional True Up for the FY 2010 -11 and Annual Performance Review for the FY 2010-11. Pursuant to this, Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) conducted Public hearings on these ARRs at six different places including one in Pune on 19th October 2011. Following are Prayas’s comments made during the ARR and Tariff Revision process for MSPGCL and MSEDCL. These comments mainly deal with the important techno-economic issues and some gaps and inconsistencies in the petition.
