India has started on an ambitious journey of an energy transition with large scale renewable energy adoption as reflected by the 500 GW non-fossil target by 2030. While RPO targets have been the primary driver for RE deployment, comprehensive public data on compliance and verification continues to be a challenge. The India RE Data Portal (India-REDP) is our modest effort to understand the various facets of this journey through multiple visualisations. Presently, this portal provides a comparative analysis of the RPO framework through analysing regulations, targets and compliance, which are further broken down across DISCOMs, years, and RPO types.

The India RE Data Portal (India-REDP) was launched by Shri Jishnu Barua, Chairperson of Forum of Regulators (FOR) on 5^th September, 2023. 

The launch was followed by a panel discussion which was moderated by Ashwin Gambhir, Fellow, Prayas (Energy Group). Mr Mukesh Khullar, former Member and Mr. Rohit Bajaj, Sr. VP Business Development, Strategy & Regulatory - IEX Ltd were the panellists for the discussion.
