Prayas (Energy Group) and Centre for Policy Research (CPR) organized the fifth annual roundtable on Residential Electricity Consumption, on the 19th of October 2022. This year we hosted an in-person roundtable at the Conference Hall in Center for Policy Research, New Delhi.  In the past roundtables, the discussions have been focused on different aspects of the residential electricity consumption such as electricity access, sustainable cooling, and demand response. 

This year's roundtable focused on scaling up the efforts to achieve market wide adoption of energy efficient appliances in India. The objective was to review progress made so far, identify challenges faced, and deliberate on way ahead for scaling-up the impact. The roundtable was structured around two sessions one focusing on strengthening the Standards and Labelling program and second on incentivizing adoption of energy efficient appliances.
